Hank, is there any other lakes that are closer besides clinton that might make for good fishing? Decatur lake or something?
It should take you about 1:30 or 1:45 from Champaign to either lake.

Smithland Pool is on the Ohio River, between Illinois and Kentucky. The marina we launch from is at Golconda, IL. There are campgrounds and motels close to the marina there in Golconda. It is about 4 hrs from Champaign to Golconda. If there's any other information I can provide, just let me know. I hope you'll be able to join us. See you at the next club meeting.

- I'm a 34 year old father of 2 who loves to fish. I work for the postal Service along with member Hank Groves. I was stationed in Alabama while in the military and that is where i picked up my love of bass fishing.
