Champaign Urbana Bass Club

There will be a buddy tournament on Lake Sara on July 26. The hours will be from 6-2 from the main marina. The fee will be $20 per boat which will be split 60/40 for first and second. So don't pitch any fish as everyone has a shot. There will be a 5 fish limit per boat. If you can pay in $10 bills it will make it easier to split later. Lake Sara is being picked since a lot of us have paid the $80 fee, this will help us to get some use from it.

I am looking at 2 more tournaments, probably one in August for sure and then a later one. any suggestions for lakes would be appreciated. I am thinking of doing a late one on Jacksonville if we can fit it in.

I would recommend Site M Panther Creek Lake, you've been there and know how it can produce. Although it is idle only there are some large fish and so many different ways to fish the lake.

Sounds like a good time Greg. Unfortunately i won't be able to make that tournament, that Sunday is Brickyard Sunday and i already paid for tickets.

As for in August i can make those is there is extra tournaments set up. How about Lake Vermillion?

Hey Greg, is this just only for club members or anyone? I know im not in the club anymore but thinking about fishing it. My buddy and I just got a bass tracker and would like to use it and fish if we could. Thanks and let me know.

or does both members of the team have to be members of the club(my wife would be my partner)???

usually Buddy tx is Member fishing with non member as a way to introduce some one to club or just to get out with someone who cant fish club tx's. Or members fishing together who may not otherwise get the chance

Steve, it would be OK for your wife to fish with you. Make sure though that you have your insurance on file with Randy or give it to a board member before you use your boat in the tournament.

Bruce, this is a club type function but we are looking for people who might be interested in the club. We discussed it and came up with 2 options (we've never been approached about this before). I know you talked to me about rejoining the club, so if you came to the July meeting, we would cut the dues to $15 as the season is already half over, then you would be a member in the boat. The second option would be for both you and him to sign the waivers and then we could let you guys fish. Either way, we definitely would have to see insurance on the boat to be within our guidelines. I would love to see you rejoin the club (even though you can kick my butt in tournaments).
