We want your opinion on our 2007 Awards Banquet..........

Hey Clubbers.........the club board of directors would like to know what everyone thought of our Awards Banquet Friday the 4th of Jan. other than running out of green beans, I thought the food was great and the service was excellent. I thought the room size and the table layout was adeqeate for the size of our attendance.
The awards presentations and raffle were excellent...........OK!..... now that you know what I thought of our awards event.......tell us what you thought of it, and what you may think we need to change next year.........one of the first things the new board does is start on next years banquet, and booking the event.......We are not mind readers.....so tell us .........

I Agree. The food was delicious, the room worked well, the beer was cold and the attendees all looked to be having a good time. Except Bobby, anyone know why he bolted?

I, too, thought the food was excellent. It was as good a dinner as we've had in recent memory. Maybe next year, 50% more beans and 50% less corn (judging by the demand), if the Hilton would do that. The room size was a little tight, but easily manageable. The next size up might be too large for conversation exchange between tables, hearing the speaker, etc. In short, I thought the board did an outstanding job and I wouldn't change a thing (except the beans/corn scenario).

I have to agree with the others on this one. The Awards Banquet was great this year.

I would like to put a flier and get peoples input, would more of the club attend if it was cheaper per person? would more people attend if it was less formal? The cost of the banquet is paid by the attendies. If it where lets say 10 to 15 dollars a piece would more people attend, What if we where to have it catered at the civic center? what are your thoughts? I being in charge of the banquet for next year would like to put together several different ways and prices. And I would also like to here what the entire club has to think about it.

I think the Awards Banquet was adequate. The room was a good size as well as comfortable. The food was good. I could do without the green beans and I guess I didn't see the corn........ As far as my thoughts on cost and formality, I have been in the club for over 10 years now, and I think the over all attendance has fallen since I joined. Obviously, the event is important for the Top Ten and their spouses or significant other to attend, however the importance of the other members of the club isn't as significant, therefore the reasons for NOT attending could be many. Cost, formality.......etc. , whatever. I have attended both as a Top Ten recepiant, board member , and just a member at large. I think if we could do something to lower the cost of attending, maybe we would see more attendance. If this means less formality and perhaps something different.........$60 for just a night out with your spouce or significant other is a little steep. Just my thoughts.

I thought the food was great maybe even better than the last few years. My wife even commented as we left saying what a fun time she had. It dosn't seem to matter if we are around the camp fire or out to dinner, we always have a great time as a club and as freinds. Where is next years party? Go ahead and sign me up.

Being my fist time it was very nice, and at $60 a couple not to bad. I am a big shell burner in the Ducks Unlimited club and for $50 a person (membership to Ducks Unlimit is included) we have around a hundred plus people turn out. We hold our Banquet at the K C hall here in town and have it catered. The Banquet committee gets raffle prizes from the DU Catalog, and local business donate hats, or buy prizes, gift cards etc , The Ladies do a raffle of their own warm and fuzzy stuff gift baskets,a day at the spa ,etc, and seperate gun raffles which come from the gun shop...it a great time....and the Miller lite Dist. supplies a couple of Kegs :) really big fun
